| Re: ct 70s on the trail
I purchased a CT70 from a guy about 9 years ago and turned it into a full-blown Off Road trail bike. I put on an ST90 front end suspension and a 17" front tire. I put a 14" big dirt tire on the rear with the ST90 rear wheel and swingarm. ATV 5" rise handlebars. A cammed and ported 75cc motor with 20mm carb and supertrapp exhaust. That thing was hammered every time I took it out. 40 miles at a clip in some of the harshest stuff I could throw at it...deep mud, creek crossings, sand, coal refuse, hill climbs...it survived it all. The only thing I can say is that the seat pan ended up being totally destroyed and the rims had some dents in them. I even would do small jumps with this thing....maybe 1-2 feet total air. The frame never did bend and as a matter of fact, it was taken by my buddy and completely restored and named "Franky" after once being a frankenbike.
