The smaller carb and intake may work but on my TB108 I run the same carb and have no issues....its the crank inertia that makes it spin too quickly for me.

On gearing...if I went lower than 17/32 it would make too many RPMs on the street since the cruising target for this bike is 50-55mph all day for 30+ miles at a clip.

I think it is just the inertia I don't like...I've had non-knifed cranks with the same clutch and haven't had an issue.
