| Re: 1968 Z50 Value
I think the limited amount of Nos KO parts that were out there have already been used in restos. The good thing is it's a fairly simple bike to do compared to a K1. No lights or wiring harness, and quite few of the parts do crossover like some of the hardware, wheels and engine. They only made 20k KO's , 150k K1's. You can pick up wheelsets w/tires and hubs for pretty cheap. The harder stuff will be correct KO steering tubes, pat pending arrestor, and fenders.. I suppose there are still a couple of sets of NOS fenders out there..bring your wallet, lol. You can usually find a relatively usable set and restore them, same goes for the muff. The ivory grips and levers are probably the easiest of the parts to find,as well as the 415 chain. Good luck on a correct KO seat- most people just put on a K1 and call it a day but to the purist it is unnacceptable! Good luck, can't tell what car that is in your avatar, FF2000 or FM? |

Thanks for that. I do have the original fenders and witha bit of work they should be fine - same with the wheels. I'll keep you all posted on the rebuild. The avatar is my Formula 1000 car. Like an F2000 but with an 08 GSXR 1000 motor. |
