| Re: Let's See Everyone's CT70 and Dax
This is 1 of my bikes. It is a 2007 Lifan 110cc ct-clone. It has over 10,000 miles, and i have had it for exactly 1 year. Thats just how much riding i do. I also have a 1991 ct70, and a 1998 z50r. But those are works in progress at this time. The lifan is my daily driver.

Just got this girl yesterday. 91 ct-70 3200miles for $800 with title and all. Been sitting in a guys garage for years and he finally decided to get rid of it. Runs like a charm. Starts on first kick. Still need to GPS it but if speedo is right I was going 40 easy on a dirt road. Haven't tried it out on a straight flat yet. I've been looking for a dual-sport to buy as a first bike, but when this offer came up I could not let it go. I looked around online and saw how much fun people were having with the CT-70 and decided to go for it. Did I get a good deal? ![]() I was planning on modding it up but since it runs so well I don't know how much I'll mess with it. New paint job for sure, any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks, and cool forum! Last edited by minioco; 11-03-2008 at 11:13 PM. |

[quote=minioco;1055950] Did I get a good deal? quote] You got a great deal and welcome to the forum. As far as your technical questions. You should start a new thread as this thread is for pictures mainly and less about chatting. Jim |

Here is Butch's "RatRod" CT. He's not a PM member so I'm posting it for him... It was a low budget build...Somewhere around $700 total. Started as an H model that had caught on fire and was a total mess, paint was burnt off, fuel tank and wiring all melted, seat was crispy etc. He Sandblasted the frame, wheels and forks and spray bombed. Dropped a GPX125 crate motor from AHP in it. Trailbikes wiring harness and new ignition switch. No battery or rectifier, just a Moose regulator. Custom seat foam and cover from some sportbike. Trailbikes shocks. New Rack. Renthal bars. OGM take-off pipe. Custom hose clamp drink holder for coffee runs. Fun bike for cheap. ![]() ![]() |

Wow, that's cool! Nice stripped-down look! That's making me re-evaluate my "should I get a CT or not someday" frame of mind, for sure. Ahhh, hmmm, what's "OGM" mean? |

That's pretty cool. Love that cup holder. How many minis have actual cup holders? LOL

Saaaaay, that bike almost looks...mexican yellow! Nice; don't see many super clean stock late-model ones around here. Are the painted fenders original?

Thanks, yella! Yes, the yellow fenders are original. 1978 was the last year for chrome fenders,1979 had fenders painted to match frame and then the 1980 model switched to the plastic fenders. This bike is all original with the exception of the exhaust pipe that I had to replace. I bought this off the original owner who claimed that this bike had been in storage since about 1980. Just got her titled and registered in my name last week. |

That's cool. I just looked at the photo again and noticed the bike still uses the same kind of turn signals the early-70s streetbikes had, like on my '72 CB450. They look right on there, I think. I'd have thought prior to actually seeing it that they'd be kind of big and awkward, but not so, to my eye.
