I'm sure many of you are tired of looking at a couple of my bikes.. But I'll post some up to share with those who haven't seen them.. This one here is a 1971 CT70H, it started out as a frame I bought off of ebay. I painted this bike in my garage and had a fun time with the build. It's my wifes bike that she rides from time to time. I made the fork ears, the engine is a Lifan 150 with hydraulic clutch and an added lighting coil. Lots of OEM Honda stuff on the bike. Out of all the bikes I have this one runs the best, the engine is really sweet. This thing turns so many heads it's hilarious.. Took this thing on a long ride the other day, it was one of the best rides I've had in a while.. ![]() ![]() |

This bike here is a 1970 CT70KO This bike also stared out just a frame purchased off of ebay. I had it sand blasted and powder coated. I've had two engines in it. The first engine I had it it was a Lifan 124.. It ran great for a couple thousand miles then I started to build it up, eventually I broke a piston and all hell broke loose.. So, I upgraded it to a YX 160 then a 177 bbk, no V2 yet.. The YX runs really strong... The early days with the Lifan, stock front end any cheap ebay cast wheels.. ![]() She started out Candy Ruby Red... ![]() ![]() ![]() |

My first attempt at restoring a CT70. I bought this bike off of ebay for $700 around 6 years ago, rode it around for a week then tore it down.. It's not completed yet, still sitting on the side of my house.. Times have changed in the mini market.. When I purchased the Zongchen engine it was the ONLY 125engine on ebay.. I bought it for $1000 and came from england.. There was no online places like dratv or tboltusa that had all the parts needed, no Planetminis, just a handfulll of euro based websites.. If the intake manifold didn't fit you had to cut it,weld it and make it fit yourself, or place an order with monkeybike UK.. Nothing was easy, ebay had very little too... I'm gonna get back to this bike someday... I'll ditch the Zonger and put the stock engine in and call it a day... ![]() ![]() |

My latest CT70... A 1971 CT70H This bike was sitting in my buddies garage for years.. I bugged him for over 10 years to sell it to me, there were two CT70s sitting in his garage collecting dust. Finally the day came, he told me I could have them for what ever was fair. We agreed that the bikes were worth $600 each, both bike are plated with current registration... My good friend really wanted one of them so I told him he could have the 1970 KO.. This bike is my camping bike.. I leave it on my trailer with all our bikes and take it out to the desert all the time.. Everything works great.. I'm leaving this one stock, can you believe it? I've already replaced so much stuff with NOS Honda parts and ditched the ugly seat.. I'm gonna eventually get around to painting it but for now its going to stay all original.. No cheap Chinese stuff... hahahaha ![]() ![]() |

Forgot about this one.. This was a really quick build for me, took maybe a couple of weeks once I got into it... I built this bike for my Dad... It runs perfect.. Nice budget build... He loves it, it's really quiet too.. |

Dan, For the record, I never get tired of seeing your bikes. You may well be the CT70 resto King! Did you do the polishing on the last one? I'm partial to the "H" decals... Well done sir, |

Seriously, Dan's builds make me want to get another CT. He seems to knock them out like Stephen King knocks out books, though.

Is that a vietnam Seat on that one of your Dad's? I love looking at your bikes. Even though it is discouraging how many "partial" projects I have!
