Cool 1997 Z50R with mods

I got my first bike in 1976, it was a 1972 Z50 MiniTrail. I was hooked. I soon after got a brand new 1978 xr75 (that I still have), but my dad sold off the Z. Well 30 years later, I came across a deal I couldn't pass up.

Modifications :
Trail Bikes 88cc kit w/20mm carb
Trail Bikes high volume oil pump
Fast50s triple tee, bars and billet throttle
FiveO +1" extended front fork legs and heavy duty springs
xr75 +4" swing arm with the xr75 chain guards
Takegawa rear shocks
Kitaco 16 tooth front sprocket
xr50 10" wheels in front and back

I have a Fast50s exhaust pipe shipping now and I plan to get the Trail Bikes 4 gear transmission and their manual clutch kit. Hopefully I can stop buying parts for this thing after that. But who knows...there's always the racing head and stroker crank!!!!

Nola.how did you put those XR/CRF wheels on that thing? The Z I'm building right now will have an XR/CRF front wheel because I'm putting XR/CRF forks on it.Gonna be a drag Z.I picked up an XR80 swing arm and will likely be stretching the frame.I got a Joker Machine tall boy bar clamp to hold the drag bars.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z!

Picked up my second Panda last night. It's plated and is in much better condition than my first. I plan to keep this one stock size and somewhat near stock.

I took it for it's maiden ride today and it was a blast! Slow as hell, but a ton of fun. Saw some chump on an R1 and showed him how it's done on 1 wheel. Wooot!

I had to make custom wheel spacers using stock from Speedy Metals. This is the product description from the site :
7/8" OD {A} x 0.499" ID {B} x .188" Wall {C} DOM Steel Tube-12"

I also had to fabricate drum stops for the front and rear breaks. The rear stop looks just like the one on the stock swing arm. I made it from iron rebar sold at Home Depot. The front stop is an extension made to fit over the stock stop. Here is a pic. It is basically iron rebar stock bought at Home Depot in the concrete section. I drilled out a hole in the rear to fit over the stock stop. I grinded down the tip to slip into the drum slot. I also drilled and tapped a small whole in the side so I could put a bolt in to hold the extension on tight. Let me know if you need more info.
