Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

Its coming along, in the early stages of a drag bike. Currently hardly handling my GPX150 with only an extended swingarm and 30T rear, time for some rake with longer forks. Hoping to get a TB V2 Head and piston once more frame modification is done.

Fun weekend.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

I have the before and after picture. This was a 1972 Z50A Softail I got from some old guy had it sitting in his garage for 15 years from what he can remember. Took me two years (more of a money factor) to complete this piece hope you enjoy and please send comments[

Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

I like it both before and after. I personally would dig having one that looked like the before picture but ran like a top. But your after photo is a beauty, and it looks like there's a pretty interesting background there too.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

I work at a honda shop and the bike in the back is a 1961-1965? honda S65. The S65 looks bad but runs like a top. Kinda funny because when I restored the z50 I put a newer XR50 carb on it and changed the oil and the bike fire right up and ran. We didnt drive it cause the rims were rusted all the way through.kinda dangerous. Thanks for the compliment.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

I've always wanted to build a white Z50R. Very cool man. There are so many parts out there like fenders and lights that only come in white or black or red. Nothing that looks good on an 84 orange tanker, ya know. This one looks the biz though.

Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

Hey could you post some detailed pictures of the front disk setup? Did you make a custom hub or just use the adapter kits like for the CRF50's?

Re: Lets see everyone's Z50/Monkey/Gorilla!

That is just the red baron or similar setup for the crf 50. COmes with extended legs and bolts right up (brake hub on the 80-98 z50s are the same as the crf) only difference is the extended legs and the brake is now on the left side.

ya hit the nail on the head with that 1!haha
Yer its a crf fork kit from red baron hers the link.
50cc Fork Extenders w/Disc Brake Kit - crf50 - ttr50 - xr50 - klx110 - drz110 - mini bikes - pit bike - big bikes - parts - products - racing parts - racing products - performance products - 50 - 88 - 110 124 - 134 - cc - Red Baron Racing Extenders w/Disc Brake Kit
The hubs off the z and crf a tiny bit diff the 3 bits inside hub that the disc adapter slip into are a little smaller on the z hub or not as high? it still locks in but can be a bit tricky to get off as it sorta wedges itsellf on.
Thanks for replys and yer im pretty happy how it turned out.
