^^cool bike Superdave. it's very similar to mine. You should slap a new stator with a lighting coil and voltage regulator in that puppy to run that headlight. I just did it on mine, It was a really simple job. I honestly probably ride my bike twice as much now because i can ride at night. It's sooo nice having a headlight.

Here's my monstrosity '91 Z50R. I bought this cheap and the bike was abused. I took off all the scratched, broken and torn parts and added the folding bars, Z50 K1 seat and Miniguns pipe. I built it for putting around. I plan to get a Gorilla tank on it and maybe lights. Maybe I'll recover the seat ($). BTW where do you get those cool lights I see on here? I got a stator with lighting coil, I need the wire harness and all the rest. I don't want to go with Honda parts because it would cost too much. |

| Re: Lets see your 90's white Z50's I just stripped it to the bones, like a bobber, and made it more useful for me (ergonomically), with the taller seat and handlebars. It kind of looks like an old school minibike, doesn't it? It is a blast to ride and the pipe sounds fantastic! I wish I could make it street legal so I could ride it more... |

'99 Z50R, had it for all ten years since I was a kid. Been through plenty of changes to accommodate me getting taller. Five years ago I swapped an XR70 engine and exhaust on it. ![]() Last year bumped up to a GPX150. Since has a 30T rear and new chain. Runs great, still pulls the wheel with a 4+ swinger. Clocked at 72mph. ![]() Last edited by MakeshiftPatriot; 06-10-2009 at 07:31 PM. |

| Re: Lets see your 90's white Z50's I had a lot of issues when getting hot on the throttle in the low end, but cleared it up with a size 20 pilot jet. Not sure what you mean by rake it out, but nothing is bored or ported. The front wheel vibrates like crazy at above sixty, definitely looking for ten inch tires sooner or later.

Bicycle and motorcycle geometry - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia your rake looks more than usual, might just be a lower rear making look so. | |

Ohh ok, no I have not. I was planning on extending the fame just a hair up front with more "Fork Angle" is what I previously called it, heh. The rear is very low, but longer struts and coils ought to clear that up, I just need a little more ground clearance before I start lengthening more. It sure has a drag bike stature but certainly not what I'm looking for.
