i left the coke in for 2 days.than drained it and used a power washer to clean the inside of the tank.as soon as you drain all the water out form the wash pour gas back in quick, dont wait or it flash rust in 5 min.

Vineger works too. Also throw in a hadful of screws with the liquid to get the abrasive action, but count them so you know they all came out. They sell stuff to treat the inside of tanks after you wash them. If you plan on not riding for 1 month+ take out all the gas and put in a cup of oil and shake around. It will keep it from rusting. |
