Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

Yes The Swinger On Mine Was Taken Off A Klx And I Did Use It On A Honda But Now It's On The Ttr,if You Use A Klx Swinger The Swingarm Arm Bolts Are Wider In Diameter So You Will Have To Change The Bearings In The Swingarm To A 12mm Shaft,if You Use A +5" Aframe Style Honda Swinger The Spindle Diameter Is The Same Size As The Ttr 90....

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

I think i dropped a bollock on the mearsurements i ordered a klx elka with remote res and i think i should of ordered a crf 70 with remote res as the honda elkas are 15mm longer than a klx one so basically by using the honda one i would'nt have to move the shock mount as much and also the swingarm i got is not a plus 5" like the guy told me but a +4" so i'll hopefully be getting a one off billettware klx swinger made but using the 12mm swingarm bolt dimensions,a mate is going to email them to see if they will do it as they made him a +5 for his honda so i'll have to wait and see.......

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

Yes Slowly , Just Waiting On People To Post Parts Out So I Can Get On With It,the head has been sent away to be gasflowed and ported and im going to look around in a few months for a new high comp piston for it as the takegawa piston doesnt have a very big dome to it and the rear brake kit and new spindle and spacers and shims and the new klx 110 mudgaurd and kx 65 front number board will be here for saturday,i just got a blue billett front res cover and a fro sytem billett gas cap and some new billett block adjusters and a new rear mudgaurd and i've also managed to find a guy local to powder coat the hubs black and anodize the rims blue for me,the engine will be refitted some time next week and im still trying to find a graffix kit i like.....

Those are Sano PPG graphics for a crf50. If you could get those made for a 90 they would look hot lol....

Looks nice but not digging the tall seat still for some reason. I want that pipe for sure though on mine. It looks sweet and is not as long as the fmf pipe.

Keep us updated

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

I've done a bit more to the bike today as my brother popped in so i had him to put the new parts on today as i cant really hold anything in my right hand because of the fall on the weekend, the rear wheel is all on as is the rear disc brake setup and also the new front fender and number board, the next thing i'll be doing is getting the seat stappled and getting the seatcover nice and tight and refitting the engine and getting a bracket made to fit the rear master cylinder on and mounting a new rear brake pedal as i have'nt got a stock one on the bike as this was one of the parts that was missing off it when i got it off ebay and im not buying a new one from yamaha as they want silly money for one as this is a budget build....

The rear swingarm is a plus 4" inch and im thinking i need to get a plus 5" one as it looks to small on it ,what do you guy's think or should i go for a plus 5" even get a plus 6" made or leave the one on it..?????? Let me know as i cant decide...cheers BUZZ

Looks pretty good, I dont think you need a longer swingarm I would try lowering the forks an inch first.

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

Yeah it needs a longer swingarm since its sits too low in the rear as the front sits higher. Seat looks better with the cover fixed but I see how the seat is just straight flat across and has no curve. Looks good otherwise.

Whats the rear brake off of?

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

the rear brake is off some chinese bike its very similar to the bbr rear brake so i guess it will work pretty good, the forks are as low as i want them to go and im still waiting on the elka to arrive to so i can see how much i need to move the rear shock mount,i think even if i put a plus 5" swinger on it the swingarm will still be a a 18+ degree angle so i will make do for the time being until a plus 5 turns up.....

another crash on the 70? you should just give it to me. it doesnt seem to like you too much. ill treat it nice. massage it with milk everynight. give a sponge bath. you know, treat it to the good life. give it all the things i never had.
