Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

The new talon/excel rims arrived today so i've fitted them on it and they look good but i need to mod the rear caliper mount as the spacing is different so i think i will use a kx 65 rear brake caliper and get a pax racing or siktendencies adapter kit for the rear and hopefully it will save me time on making custom spacers and modding the caliper bracket..

i'll post some pics when my pc is repaired as im using my nintendo wii to go on the internet at the minute.if any one knows someone selling a pax or siktendencies racing kx65 rear brake kit adapter let me know.....cheers BUZZ

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

pics of the kx 65 talon/excel wheel's with wave discs and a mock up of the rear brake set up and the honda fast way pegs which fitted pefectly,i might use a bbr stock frame adapter kit and change the rear brake pedal when it turns up as i've ordered one for my crf 50 super pro bike......

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

Do you think the swingarm angle is ok in the pics as i think i'll have to move the rear shock mount 40mm to 45mm back, for the bike to sit level,i can lower or raise the forks about 10 mm up or down, but i need to take in to account how much the bike will sag with the engine in it..

the pic of the bike on the old car wheels will be roughly the ride height after i make a new mount for the rear shock, the new mount will be roughly 43mm further back from the original mount but i'll have to wait until the moter is fitted to see how much the bike will sag.....

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

another little update i've fitted up the rest of the front brake set up on the ttr,the front caliper is a kx 65 one and the master cylinder is a yz 125 one with a zeta billett dress up peice off ebay for $15 and i've started mocking up the rear brake set up using a reeg mx rear master cylinder mount, the final set up will most probably be a bbr rear master cylinder mount for the super pro frame and a bbr rear caliper mount of either a klx or crf and either a reeg mx brake pedal or a bbr one....i think they will look ok and will add a little bit of bling to it....

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

fitted a plus 5 bbr swinger on it just to see if i can fit it and it went straight on,still need to make shim's for it and i defo can make a new mount to use the klx shock with this swinger,i think it look's better with the mono swinger set up...what you reckon keep the bbr swinger on it or go back to the klx 110 down componenets swinger..??????

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

siktendenciesracing parts came today and all i can say is wow, awsome peice of engineering on the parts....thanks gary you da man.....

all i had to do was cut some of the ali from the brake slider on the swinger and it went straight on with a little tweak to the wheel spacer, just waiting for the kx 65 rear brake set up to arrives and the rear brake will be a full on kx 65 setup using a rear brembo ktm master off a 65sx and either a reeg mx master cylinder bracket or a bbr one or even the siktendencies one then i can use the kx 65 master cylinder aswell but i'll have to wait and see how it will sit with the reeg mx rear brake pedal....

Re: Yamaha Ttr 90 Build Thread

Your killin me! LOL

You changed your mind on the A-style and put a BBR Big Bike style swinger on?? That Bracket I sent is for the A-style swingarm,,, the Big Bike style bracket sits level to the swingarm instead of being further back like the A-style swingarms because of the downtubes from the shock mount.

just a little update as i have'nt done much to it as work has been busy but the rear brake set up is done,i used the siktendencies klx/kx65 rear caliper braket and a kx 65 rear caliper and the kx 65 brake hose and fitted a reeg mx master cylinder bracket off a crf 70 reeg brake kit and used a early ktm 65 brembo master cylinder as these are the same bolt pattern as the formula master cylinder as used by reeg mx on their rear brake kit's and i also used the kx 65 res and pipe,it look's like it came staraight out of the factory....well happy with it.....pics soon.......

i'll be taking the frame to a freinds place to have a new rear shock mount made and welded to the frame and i'll replace the diagonal tubes off the rear subframe that go's down to the frame so the klx elka shock has more room to where it is going to be mounted as im going to use the bbr swingarm and i just got the ttr 90 head back from a gas flow and porting job on it so the engine will be altogether by next week and using a ktm 65 mukini 24mm carb and a custom cut manifold........
