Re: 2009 Pitster LXR 160R Fourteen (17/14 wheels)

Finally,i got a myself(well my kid's?????) a LXR 14.From having a roller at the border, then losing my job and asking Pitster(Gary)for my payment back and taking the roller back(which he did no problem,THANK'S)and scrapping by for month's, i finally got one. Then when i take the cardboard off to start putting it together i look at the motor and it's the new 155 Z motor(sweeet).F--ken eh!

Re: 2009 Pitster LXR 160R Fourteen (17/14 wheels)

I'll try to post up some pitcures when i figure out how to do it! Got her broke in,and went for a small ride,i'm liking it! Handles great and has a solid feel to it.It has the heavier flywheel on it and the motor seems pretty strong(great trail bike motor). The rear suspension work's great, but the front seem's lacking compared to the back. All and all,i'm impressed with it and hopefully get out today and ride her some more.

What do you mean it has the heavier flywheel on it?...I thought all the Z155s came with the smaller ORK setup?

Must be comparing to an IRK, because the z engine has a smaller flywheel then the YX outer rotor.

This motor thats in this Canadian LXR 14 has the same motor in the 155 Z thread with the dress up kit installed, but has the regular sized freewheel on it.And wired for light's. no it's not the LXT.Wish it had the ORK,but it hooks up good in the trail's where traction is limited.Might have to order one up as this bike will be used on track's more then trail's,but we'll see how it work's as it is more before doing anything.

Re: 2009 Pitster LXR 160R Fourteen (17/14 wheels)

I'll take pitcure's tomorrow and try to post them them up,not much good with computers.Just came back from riding and man this bike is fun.I know the front fork's are good fork's,they are over shadowed by the rear end.It corners like a RM and is stable in the rough.I might add a tooth or two to the back sprocket and this new transmission has nice spacing between the gears,no big jumps. This bike is going to get ridden alot, too much fun.

Re: 2009 Pitster LXR 160R Fourteen (17/14 wheels)

Did some testing yesterday with my other 14/17(Konker) to see how it compares to the LXR,what a difference! Like comparing a 50 to a midsize, the Konker feels like a pitbike and the LXR feels like a real bike(full size). Suspenion and handling there is no comparision(My kid had a bad crash about 6 month's ago and is just getting back into riding now and is gunshy)and after a couple of rides he's riding better and faster then i've ever seen him ride,he just love's this bike(me too!).Not that the Konker is a bad bike, it's just not in the same league as the LXR.And the best part was i didnt have to change anything on the pitster to make him happy(which i can't say about the konker, and i changed alot). Great bike!

For us in the 14 crowd, are we going to see a 2009.5 version?
