Re: Firepower 192cc "Crate" Motors

For the record, after busting my substantial arse yesterday on a stock Lifan 150, the 192's will NOT be test run in my little Z My CL70 has a little more stability, even if I don't...

Terry do you have a picture of the Akunar piston that you are running there are just so many on that website.

Btw Is there a AKUNAR piston that will fit in the stock cylinder on the piranha motor but bump the compression up and which one would that be?

There is, but make sure you've got the timing and kick technique down, before you do it.

Re: Firepower 192cc "Crate" Motors

300cc??? Not here

HP is limited by airflow. It will make as much power as you can feed it.

Kicking is as easy as any 200cc motor, and requires proper technique.
I can do it barefooted

Re: Firepower 192cc "Crate" Motors

Old or new, same kit. Needle bearing case works best. Slingless crank needed for Lifan cover swap, or the price goes up due to extra machining.

Re: Firepower 192cc "Crate" Motors

sorry for a stupid question.....but why don't just star with the yx150 daytona, it already has the oil filter clutch cover etc....probably still to upgrade the bearings etc.......

also why could you not build a lifan 150 that big.....

the "next engne" wll probably be the 155Z with the popular clutch cover...

The YX and Lifan 150's have the narrower stud spacing and won't take more than a 60mm bore, reliably. You can add stroke, and we do, but getting the BIG displacements takes the KLX stud pattern.

Yea, the "Greatest Latest Engine Ever" (from this point on, to be shortened to GLEE) will likely end up having the oil filter.

i heard slayer66 made 208 klx's that lasted , i would like to ride one for sure.

as to firepowers 192cc motors if you have ever built or paid to have built a large cc motor then you have to know this is a steal 100% of the time.
if i had a new lxr i would have one of these built asap.

keep up the good work and great pricing.

Head and cam choice will determine the peak numbers. Bastards are fatter in the middle than me, though
