Re: Pitster Pro Classic 125!!

Ok, here is what I found out today, the gearing stock is 15/32. the rear wheel does not have a cush drive so the sprocket bolts directly to the hub. No clip issues.

Re: Pitster Pro Classic 125!!

So NCC, the suggestion

Quote:
On your rear hub, make sure the area where the lock ring goes (to hold on the rear sprocket) is steel and not aluminum. If the shoulder where the lock ring goes that holds on the sprocket is not steel, you will seriously put your customers at risk. The ringland area will let go and the sprocket will detach and could cause catastrophic injury. Hopefully that has been addressed as well.
Is not needed?

Also what about the wheels and tires someone said were inadequate. Whats the big deal of having them small? I weigh 125 pounds and want to do about 60 percent street riding, and 40 percent off road -- mostly trails. Are the wheels going to bend or something?

How do you think this bike would do as a daily street driver / trail rider? With regular oil changes how many miles might I expect out of the bike?

If its Bolted to the hub then it isn't needed. It will be just a little more hercky jerky at low speeds than a bike with a cush drive.

As for the Mileage, I know of one guy getting at least 10000 miles out of his 2007 Lifan lf110gy-3 the bike had some maintenance issues but nothing other than a few oil leaks and it was still running fine. I assume Pitster will have just as good of a engine as the Lifan.

Heres the post to the 10k Lifan 110cc.

Re: Pitster Pro Classic 125!!

Cool, I would be pretty satisfied if the motor lasted 10,000 miles.

I wanna get the Pitster Pro Classic with a 160 and possibly in red after I see what the red ones look like.

If you change the gearing (which I think I would with a bigger motor) the odometer wont be correct?

Re: Pitster Pro Classic 125!!

Clutch on the mainshaft? Maybe the TB 160 S-Cut kit and head? Then the e-start stays?

Hey Terry, you think my 124+R would fit in this thing and have the ignition inner change?

I'm guessing the original has an "inside-out" rotor setup, with the stator mounted in the cover, as on most e-starts. A stock Honda flywheel and Ricky Stator should get you going, with minimal wiring hassle.

If it don't sell, give it hell

Re: Pitster Pro Classic 125!!

201? WTF man, you want me dead huh? lol

How much does that hike the price up?

Also, can I get this bike in Kawasaki green? Or even 1970 vette yellow?

P.S. Terry, send me a crf50 rear sprocket please, any size is fine.
