I got a brand new OGM 140 to arrive in a week or so, What will it do for me? It as the Lifan BVH, do I need to send a better cam, valves, or anything to be reinstalled for good results?

Hate to troll here, but you need to stop throwing those flow numbers around. First, your not telling how many inches you are pulling that cfm at. second, your quoting numbers that are generally higher than a 450 head. Not trying to knock your work, never heard anything bad about it, but the flow numbers have got to go.

Thats fine, I will get all the exact info from Eyvind Boyesen when we wrote them down originally and post them up for you

Yes you will need a better cam (which we have here) as the stock cam is mild. It will pull harder throughout the entire rpm range.

Re: Porting and Polishing work - $95 until Christmas!

Has anyone had the port and polish done to a CRF50 stock head? what kind of tuning would need to be done to get it running when returned?

To better answer your question I talked to eyvind today and got the information for everyone to view so noone feels like I am pulling things out of thin air:

Flow bench - SuperFlow 1200
Inches of water - 50"

Now if you used a different flow bench your test results may vary.

Any other questions please feel free to ask and thanks again to everyone interested!

Re: Porting and Polishing work - $95 until Christmas!

50"??? Yikes! Most are done at 28" or even 10".

Still should be accurate for comparing the same head before and after?

Mark does great work, regardless of the flowbench scale

I have installed a few of them in customers bikes but haven't worked with one of the heads yet to be honest. I am sure that will change as they become more popular.

I have done a lot of stock 50 and 70 heads, a lot of 50 heads for the guys that were running the indoor motard series in MI. Ryan Wolfe I believe put down something like 5hp? on his 50cc based engine with one of my port jobs. Send your intake a long with the stock 50 head, and you can run a 70 carb then or at least a bigger main.

Dan,
I did one for a guy in MI, not sure if he ran it before without the porting, actually no he didnt but he said it ran great when he got the head and installed it though.

Also did some +R heads for the 50 (124cc) the latest being for DC50 here on the message boards.

Re: Porting and Polishing work - $95 until Christmas!

the superflow 1200 doesnt even go to 50" ?!?!

it tops out at 48" which is also the scale you use for flowing carburators and huge flowing stuff like that.

man i flowed a newer polaris predator 500 and it only flowed 47 cfm at the specified 10" or whatever... on a superflo bench (2X1.4___" valves)

i've personally used a sf-120 and im calling BS until i hear some sort of logical explanation. i thinik you didnt read the manual haha ... silly kids.

im not knocking your product, the reputation stands for itself... but something fishy is goin on here.

The man who helped me flow the head and taught me how to work on heads practically invented airflow buddy, haha.

Seriously, what do I have to do here to please some of you people?

Re: Porting and Polishing work - $95 until Christmas!

Well you did just call me out, I am not trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes here. It is kind of like how dyno's all produce different #'s. There is more than 1 factor involved here. If you want to come out and check out our system at Boyesen's, your more than welcome.

Again, I am just trying to give the PM guys a good deal on really good work. I'm trying to give guys a glimpse into what I do and become more personal with everyone than most guys that just hole up in a shop and wont even answer a phone and talk to anyone. If you don't believe in our work then don't buy it, if you do than I appreciate it and wont disappoint
