No scarcasm intended, the duel caliper breaks are a must IMO.
So does the Pitster now.

See that's good, you take somthing that someone is doing well and add it to your bike, thus improving the overall quality of the bike and the sport.

There shouldn't be whining about who's copying who, it should be who's improving on the current design and how will I benifit from it.

Are the duel calipers on the new pisters from china? (just curious)
And if they are do they suck?

They all seem to use very similar if not the exact same. As usual with any of these, a quick fluid change with some dot4 fluid and they work pretty dang decent.

The dual piston front on my sons Pitster seems to work real good. He doesn't try to do stoppies with it but he does use the front brake a lot and he likes the way it feels. Its not spongey like his other pitbikes.

Did you swap out the fluid in it yet or is it still the factory stuff? The stock fluid seems to make the brakes drag after it gets warmed up.

FYI Pitster didn't copy Motovert with the dual piston calipers dude. Pitster had the Dual caliper before Motorvert imported any X4s... oh I mean Moto Vert Pro 150s. Not trying to start anything just setting the facts straight.

But add a Nissin front master and to that dual piston and you won't know what to do with all that brake.

If anything, definitely change the stock fluid.

I had the option of buying the pitster dual piston calipers but instead i went with the
RM85/KX85 tokico calipers because i figured i could easily get aftermarket brake pads, even in different compounds. plus it was only $30 on ebay.

*cough* SDG Pro Mini *cough*

The dual piston caliper as used by SDG, Pitster, etc is a carbon copy of the unit Honda uses on the NSR50, only flipped for the other side. I'm sure there is a JDM version for the same side as the chinese unit they cloned, but the NSR50 is the closest comparison I've had in my hands. Parts swap directly back and forth between the two, save for slightly different pin retention setups. (One just has the pin thread in by itself, the other uses a secondary lock screw on top of the pins. You can swap both either setup to either caliper though.) The up side is NSR50 pads ALSO are direct swaps, which means you can run some awesome brake pad compounds. If you really wanna improve your brakes, put in some EBC, or better Daytona pads and your jaw will drop at the stopping power they have.

Note, the dual piston front caliper requires a larger diameter rotor, some of the imports are forgetting that when upgrading... check to make sure your pads have full contact on the rotor.

Edit: Also, there are far more pad options for the SDG/Pitster style dual piston rotors than the dirt derived units, which comes in handy if you're doing more than poking in the dirt with your mini.
