Nothing wrong with it mechanically though. But, you guys beat the snot out of orions, yes, they are cheap, but you didn't pay even half the amount a Honda would have cost, so I don't think you did too badly after all. Plus, this bike will teach you how to work on something mechanical, and how bad could that be?
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. I love some Chinese bikes, but most of them are sh*t! Facts are facts and I can't help it that the truth hurts you.

I agree with 50 50, some pit bikes can be great pit bikes, if they really wanted to who cares if it takes more time to built a bike better if a company is going to design or in my case build/upgrade a bike they should do it right.

DGA mentioned that I could learn mechanical stuff with this bike,so far I have learned what not to do and on top of that I din't buy a bike to have it parked in my garage on the stand being worked on coming out of the brand new crate.

I expected the mechanics at the dealer would know what a lock washer's purpose if for, and is intended on the nut side, not the bolt.. just simple stuff like that shows allot about workmanship and their idea of quality.

Re: Orion Pitbike trouble

Dude it's super fustrating, I know, I owned an Orion, but that was when orionpitbikesales was just starting out and the customer service was decent, they covered all my problems during the warrenty phase then dropped me like a bad habit after that, I don't recommend them.

I finally just bought a decent engine from a vendor on here and slapped it in there and sold it, it was a money hole. I finally bought a good quality china bike (motovert) and I've been happy ever since. Pitster, Piranha, the top end SSR's, Medina and Motovert are the best, everyone else will throw in their two cents on it but those are the top china dogs.

Anyone else who didn't buy the above brands hate China bikes, and everyone that did buy the above brands love them, thus the China hate/love war.

Glad you got the bike running.

I agree with you. It's a new bike and you shouldn't have to work on something brand new!!! How many of us would be fine if we bought a brand new car and had to take it in for a tuneup or if we had to completely disassemble and reassemble it with loc-tite because the factory didn't make it right?

Somebody telling you that an unreliable bike with poor craftsmanship will "teach you how to work on something mechanical" and pretending that is a benefit of having a China bike is one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard.

Amen...... What do you expect for a grand? My son has been racing Orions all season. Sure they require maintenance, but so do Hondas. I recently bought a used YZ85 for my son to race next year. That bike has as many issues as his Orion does. I will agree that the OEM Orion engines are JUNK. I will never again own another Zongshen or other crank mounted clutch motor again. BE CAREFULL with the IRK and that motor. You WILL explode the clutch eventually. This year I exploded 2 clutches, and finally broke the end off the crank. My advise would be to remove the motor and spend a few dollars and buy a good main shaft clutch motor. Why do you think Pitster never uses them? Semi auto bikes seem to be better with crank clutches for some reason. Probably because you can't rev it to the moon and dump the clutch.

Ya, well If you bought a Kia and expected it to be the quality of a BMW that would be stupid also......right?

Not true. I have a garage full of Orions. I recommend them to all my buddies. Short of the crappy motor I think they are good bikes. Since China motors are cheap it's an easy fix. Add another $500 to the 1k that they cost and you are still less expensive than the China Majors.....
