the reason the 98 cr125 was a turd compared to the 97 is because of the frame. first year for the 125 with the perimeter aluminum frame. they had to reroute the airboot and it killed the airflow. the ktm 125 is way fast because of the airflow, no linkage and the shock off to the side, nice straight path.

My Mood: | Re: Anyone know that Service Honda is building a CRF150R/XR100 Conversion?
I want that Tak 136 kit BAD... but That super head has the damn off set intake that would not work in the NSR frame I've got the motor in! Does anyone know if they make an adapter that will correct the angle of the intake so the carb will not shoot off the side like that?? My only other option would be the Kitaco or Yosh 125cc kit (Yosh has the roller cam, Kitaco doesn't). And how the hell is that twin spark head work? Looks like the other spark plug would hit the cam chain?? Any pic's of it from the top down? www.teamquazzymoto.com # 4 Last edited by fireman_343; 09-19-2009 at 08:23 AM. |

If you want the 150f with 150r suspension, just go to Reger Engineering. The have the parts to put cr85 legs under your 150f. You can get cr85 forks and shocks on fleebay for cheap. I think a price comparison between the SH modded complete bike and the Reger mods would be extremely favorable to your checkbook.

Yeah-- I know about Reger. The 150F is sooo heavy though, and I need 14/17 inch wheels to be able to run it in the pit bike races. I looked into it a while ago, and Pro Wheel says that they don't know if they can get a 14 inch rim on the rear 150F hub due to the angle of the spokes. I really need that 150F motor in the 150R chassis. I was actually thinking about running a KX100 shock on the 150F as opposed to the CR85/150R shock, because the res would have more clearance by the frame than the Honda shock would. --L*64
