Re: "zb" progress?

Cycle, if you wanna upgrade that front end, I know where there is a set of WP forks... my budget just won't allow me to snag them for myself.

Keep in mind you have to run the 1995-2002 RS125 forks without the integrated radial hangers if you want a chance to be able to fit the calipers without completely cutting up and reworking the brackets.

If you aren't going to snag them, post up a link.

Back to the regularly scheduled program...

Yup, there are three sets for sale, two are the later radial brake mount units, one is the earlier style.

Re: "zb" progress?

That's an absolutely killer price on a very expensive set of fork legs.

You rarely see those these days. I think Jordan needs to upgrade.

Believe me, if I had enough blood in my 135lb frame to sell to get me to half of their selling price, I'd be clutching them in the coffin. : ) That's the normal going price for abused normal RS125 USD units.

Nah. I've seen 3 sets of normal RS125 units sell for under $500 in the last 3 months. You just need to be quick when you find them.

Hrmm, I gotta expand where I'm looking, all I've seen in that price range were damaged goods.

I got a pair for $250 but it needs a new fork leg on the caliper side which is about another $200, so it was $450.
Now to machine some tripples to fit them to my ysr....
(someday i'll get an nsr or zb and be one of the cool kids)

Re: "zb" progress?

A few pictures of my "catalogue build" as someone hinted that it would be... hell of a catalogue I must say.

Rear engine mount is set. I have to do some more machining and welding to the frame to get the engine angle set perfect before making my other engine mounts. Yes, machining and welding on the frame. You read right.

Re: "zb" progress?

Love the project.

I look forward to flogging it on your local MX track.

Can I have my blue painters tape back before you use up my whole roll?

No, I need the tape. It's mine. I stole it fair and square.

FastMC taped my frame up as he's the mastermind behind the "Red-Green" bodywork.

Re: "zb" progress?

Do you have most of the parts to finish the bike? rear sets, clip ons, hand controls, conversion sprocket, and zb/monkey r parts? Are you going to run lights on this bike?

I'm maching most of what I don't have as of now. The only things I need to buy yet other than small stuff here and there are hand controls. I'm making the body work and stuff like rear sets and chain adjusters, I am or have machined. I had to do some machining on that rear sprocket but it will work now. Yes, it will have lights and be street legal.
