I've been all over the place with career stuff and haven't been able to focus on minis. I'm back on board and in the garage now.

was it your intention to stuff a vertical motor into the g-craft frame?

Thank you. I'm glad to be back.

My plans have moved back and forth since before I even picked up the frame. The engine plans have swapped a few times before settling on a crf250x. Don't worry the engine won't remain stock. I could never do something like that. The farther I get, the less I want to do full body work. I was going to do it as a mini motogp bike but since my next bike really is a gp bike this one is becoming more of a naked mini street bike.

Re: 250 "zb" progress

Here are a few snap shots of the clip on bars and spacer I needed to make to fit the WP forks that will be taking place of the stock RS125 forks that are currently on the roller.

Of the adjuster? ... Don't get too fond, I'm making my own adjuster knobs. It is ghetto the way they designed the high and low speed adjusters. You have to take them off to get the forks or clip on's off and on.

What are you planning to use the bike for (street, RR, flat tracking)?

Mainly street but I'll probably do some track days and that sort of thing on it as well.

Re: 250 "zb" progress

Building a one off using a G-Craft frame, awesome! I'm gonna call you Paul Jr...
You should go all out fabricating like he does, get a tank from the warehouse, and fabricate it to fit on the frame you had pre-fabricated. Have your cnc guy make you some bar clamps that look like little fists. Finish it off with a custom fabricated seat pan in the shape of a cell phone. The send it all off to the custom painter and wait for the custom ordered engine to come in...

Re: 250 "zb" progress

Dang Jordo,

All that progress and I have to come here to see it. I can't even get a phone call or a picture sent to me anymore... bike is coming along nicely.

Later,

BM

Haha BM, you lived with me for 5 months; you know I don't talk on the phone much.

As long as the word progress is loosely defined. Example below...

Re: 250 "zb" progress

Dude... is that the swing arm pivot??? nice chop work... Maybe I'll be by the house again before you finish up. You'll have to send me a text and let me know which direction you're heading with the body panels and tank. I think I know, but can't exactly remember...

Re: 250 "zb" progress

Looks like a top motor mount? Why did you take the whole thing off? reinforcing it differently?

Re: 250 "zb" progress

Finish this bike up. I want to see some pix. This project has me thinking about dropping a CRF150F motor in my ZB, but it is such a rare bike.
