this is just my opinion but from what ive seen of my friends crf150r's there grenades ready to snap a cam at any time. yamaha has always had reliable engine. and if they are behind on power they always seems to make up for it in the long run

In the latest dirt bike mag they took some kid to like 3 different tracks with a cr85 and a 150r and he was atleast a second faster at each track on the CR85. and again those things are just so uncomfortable!!! I hate them. |

i have a quick question: what is so great about these 150f's? i mean yeah there expensive yeah they race with the 85's and probubly tear them up but the engine is twice the size (internally and quite a bit bigger externally) 4 strokers are inharently heavy they don't like to start when hot i mean why did all the mx and sx riders go to 4strokes 450's? yet they still call it a 250 class? idk maby i am just the last of a dying breed that understands the hasles of a 2-smoker is worth the reward as compered to a maintinanceless 4-stroke that makes no top end power, weighs twice what it sould and is way bigger than it needs to be maby if they made the 4-stroke singles more like they make their sport bikes (4cyc) they would be of some sort of use being as a 170hp gsxr 1000 cut the4cyclenders appart and you have 4 250's of witch each would produce about 42.5hp in stock trim and about 50hp with a cam, exhaust and a remap of the fuel injection (oh and it would be revving to 13k rpm and still make about 26ft-lbs of torque) |

you know what take and install a cr250 engine in to a crf 150 chassis and there will be a world of differance you would go from 12hp to about 45 and still probubly weigh less than the 150 did stock

That is the longest-quick question ever, haha. They don't call them the 125 and 250 class anymore, it's the Lites and Motocross class. 4 Strokes are the future of motocross, period. | |
