Hey Nutty P, I'm just looking ahead in the future... if something happends to my two big bore kits then I might go with a 4 stroke?? Just something to play around with... I'm sure it will still be a fight to get me to change over... but once I see a 4 stroke NSR pass me and I can't keep up.. then it will be time! Thought I would let you guys know, I took this bike out a couple of weeks ago and man does this bike fly. The nice thing is that it feels really balanced and handles nicely. The suspension felt a little soft and I have already ordered the stiffer springs for the front and back. I think this will improve the cornering of the bike. I will update you on how much of a difference the suspension upgrade made as soon as it is installed.

| Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!! Agreed, I have a set of old style and new style stock NSR50 springs (long and short), along with new style HRC stiff springs, and even shoving them in the shorter old style forks, they are WAY too soft.

So whats the story on the Emulators? I was going to do the stiffer springs but sounds like not a great improvment.

HRC 'stiffer' springs are a joke. Ray can cut custom springs with a usable spring rate, I'd say they are a 'must do' mod for NSR50 forks. Emulators give you independant control of compression damping from rebound damping. You choose an oil weight to get rebound where you want it, you then dial in compression using the emulator, rather than having to compromise on rebound and compression when choosing an oil weight.

I will be sending my forks in next week! Can't wait to see how much of an improvement it will make.

Last years MoM GP round turned into a MX on Pavement race, including a 15' hill climb with a kicker at the top. I got my machine straight up vertical a good 4' off the ground on that hill a couple of times, dropped it right on the forks and I didn't feel any jarring when they hit bottom. They've only got 2.5" of travel, and still managed to absorb the impact cleanly. I ended up finishing off my seals that way, but the fact they they handled it so gracefully really surprised me. | |

I have to say that Ray also does hell of a job when it comes to porting the hond 50 motors. He does all of the porting work on my motors and I am very pleased with the outcome. I was able to win 3 championships out of the four classes that I ran in 2006 and 2007. The fourth class that I did not win, I came in second by one point. Thanks again for all of your support RJP Racing!

MiniMan, how painful is this modification. The 124's can be had for very reasonable money, curious what it took to perform? Any details you are willing to share?
