Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Well, I finally finished this little project and decided to get rid of the Kitaco 124SE motor and use a TB108 motor with a Takagawa clutch and AHP 4 speed tranny with a Kitaco inner rotor. This motor will put me in the cc limit for the club that I am racing with this season.

Here are some new pics of the bike.

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Very Nice. I have a couple questions about your part.

1. Where do you get your rear sprockets from?
2. Where did you get your foot pegs
3. How difficult is it to install the front fairing?(much cutting or fitment?)

1. Matt from Factory Motorsports built my motor and the shift linkage is off of a RC51. You can find them on Ebay.

2. Actually there is an SCMINI Race this Sunday out at Adams Kart Track.

1. The sprockets are from Sprocket Specialist. You can order them direct from their website.

2. The foot pegs came with the bike and I think they are just pegs you can purchase for a big bike.

3. I bought the fairing kit from a guy off of Ebay and the tail section is an AirTech that was given to me. As far as mounting the bodywork, it was pretty easy. The only modifications that I had to make was cutting out sections that the shifter and brake pedal were hitting.

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Looks good... how does it hang with the 63cc kitted NSR's??

Also, what oil cooler did you end up going with, and did you have to custom make the mount for it? I'm looking at putting an oil cooler on my 4 stroke NSR also!

"SMACK DOWN?" I would love to put some money down on that race.... LOL This little bike is going to dominate this year like my other 108 did in 2007.

Jeff, you guys have to come out this Saturday night to at least practice if you are not going to race on Sunday. What do you say?

We have a soccer tournament in Lancaster Saturday, and my truck is in the shop but I expect to get it Friday at the latest.

We will try to get up there one day, Randy wants to ride, he won his last 4 races.

He's so big now (5-5, 150) I might have to buy him new gear

Well I have not raced this bike yet with the TB108 motor in it yet and will let you know after this weekend. I can tell you this, I raced a mini motard in 2007 with the same motor with a 3 speed tranny and was able to beat a 63cc NSR for the championship. The motors are pretty close top speed wise and makes for some good racing. The race will come down to who can carry the most corner speed.

As far the the oil cooler, I purchased the ANSI cooler from trailbikes. The nice thing is that it will bolt right to the frame with the supplied bracket. All you will need is to get a bolt 2 washers and a nut and it is mounted.

What kind of fourstroke are you looking at putting in the NSR?

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Cool.. thanks for the info, I think I'll call trailbikes up and talk with them..

I've already put the 4 stroke in my bike, the XR100 with BBR120 kit, and a few other little motor mods.. See the topic about the BBR120 kit HP on here.. I posted a few pics.

I love the 4 stroke motor, and it sounds like yours is like mine.. it just comes down to corner speed and who can out brake who into the corners!

Good luck this weekend with it!

Re: NSR/F 124SE Project!!!

Superness, if you come out, look us up. My son Tyler is number 48 and will be making his debut on a RS125 chassis with a Honda CRF150R motor in it. If I can get his 65 front end back together he will be racing that too.

Jeff, I live in Mission Viejo and work in Paramount. Is there a way I could help you get your bike to the track and you guys come up Saturday night or Sunday morning. Remember practice on Saturday starts at 2pm and goes till 9pm.

Jason, we are rooting for you to win that class this year and put the smack down on the big talker in that class.

Just got it, so I don't yet. It needs paint, still white, and some tweaking on the bodywork as the exhaust puts out a bit of heat to the bodywork.
