We need details on your plans for the motor, stat! Also, is that the stock pipe on there? Something tells me it's temporary.

There's a lot of cool builds we get to see here on PM, but there's just something about the two strokes. Maybe it's because they're so few and far between. Please continue the updates. The pics are great.

I will also be running a Takegawa Close Ratio Transmission,So splitting the cases is in my future.(Which will also enable me to use the Neutral light on the Takegawa Multi Meter)

Hey that little bike is looking nice, the finish on the pipe is very sweet, is that the special finish you were mentioning about doing? Look forward to seeing the completed package!!

How muich did they want, or what was the bidding? If it was a good price, not sure a few rusty plates would be a worry as you can easily get new ones.

I think if I came across another one I'd consider it.

$2,200 that's some serious beans, was that including close ratio gearbox or just the clutch for the regular gearbox? Would be interesting to know what the seller got for sure!!

Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

Yeah there's no way I'd enter into a bidding war for the clutch at those sorts of prices! I mean mine was way less than that back in 98 and I still ho'd and hummed over whether to buy it!

I'm going to have 3 NSR (big wheel) setups anyhow, one 100cc bigbore for street, one 80cc race rep for street (dry clutch, inner rotor) and one full race for track duty.

Bike's looking clean, what sort of paint job you going with? Also what ignition setup you're going with, I just picked up my HPI system with lighting coil, gotta say it's very sweet.

I'm very curious to how it's going to run just cause it's got all the right bits!

Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

So what's the deal with the jet hot coating, I gather it's better than getting something nickel plated which is currently what I was planning. It for sure looks better, is it meant to be quite tough also from scratching etc?

the thing is, if your pipe not good now, jethot will only make your half ass pipe shiny.. its like a polish turd, its still a turd.. if your pipe is a turd, all its going to be is a shiny turd. so think about it before you go with jethot, they don't sand it down or make it smooth, they dont coat, or finish it, they just polish it up.

NCNSR go right ahead with your reply, i am waiting.
