Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

The bike should be finished in the next 5~7 days as the last of the parts arrives today.Been some changes and some things turned out to be more complicated than expected.

That's what I need to do to my NSR. I think you should contact airtech, and have your fairings done in Carbon fiber. There is a guy locally that is going to do a mold on my tank, and do a carbon tank for mine. One last thing. Contact bst, and get some carbon hoops for that bike. Then your bling will be complete. KILLER BIKE! LOVE IT! BTW thanks for all the great links for the nsr. I am now saving my money so that I can buy the19ps 72 kit

Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

I was admiring your speedo and am interested in adding one to my YSR build with a XR100 motor punched out to a 132 (TB kit). Did the kit come with a wiring schematic? I am using the Baja wiring kit, which it looks like you are too. Is it as simple as splicing into the exisitng turnsignal/ headlight wires? I can't wire the neutral switch for obvious reasons. Did you mount the pick up on the front wheel? I am curious to know how hard it was to install. Where did you buy yours from? Thanks

Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

The Takegawa unlike the Koso comes with the speedo drive unit (The box to the lower left of the unit with the cable arced over the top).I did not install the gauge myself as it is beyond my skill.I got it from dan@honda50.com he has the same gauge.........................Racerxxx221(Richiee) Installed my gauge and did all the wiring.

Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

Do you think this unit would work on a YSR with a 12v conversion? What can't you use on the speedo (neutral, fuel level, ect)?

Re: Street legal nsr50r gp

I am assuming it would,It is there generic unit,I will be able to use the neutral switch when i split my cases and install the JDM NSR50 sensor on the shift drum(Repsolnsr's bike is a JDM model he has use of this function)Mine is an 04.
