I know that when I tech'd my SuperStock bike , what they were look'n for on the bike was different from what the rules said on the site . I was told I could run a diff carb , but the rules on the web states a stk carb must be used . I don't get it ..

Ok, let's all take a deep breath and relax... What I meant by the opening post of this thread was that considering the weather we've had lately, and what RH can be like after some rain, it was WAY better than I would have ever expected. Not everyone has the same taste in tracks. Just as some top level pros hate Southwick, others love it. If all of our tracks were similar, and that wasn't the type you liked, you'd be out of luck for the entire series. We're lucky to have a really diverse mix of tracks to ride. It's probably the best of any pitbike series in the country. I don't think any of you would have preferred us to cancel the race? Look at the poorboy class. They have less power than my blender and they have the most fun! None of them were complaining. Wait till you see my photos. You guys were flying, and there were some incredible battles. Matt |

i left stunt riding to come back to dirt because dirt never had and drama or crybabies..seems like there are more and more mini riders who expect the red carpet and when called out for it they act tough..as someone else said "this is motocross not baseball" ..i rode poorboy at crow hill and was getting my ass kicked by ruts and mud that was more like quicksand and i know at the gate everyone in the class was having a good time and laughing..now if i can ride the same bike with less mods than my 6 year old son in conditions most would rather be on big bikes for and still have a good time i dont see why anyone with anything bigger than a stock 50 is pouting. hope to see everyone at round 4 tho! |

Well said...I thought the track was fine, a few soft spots here and there, the jump faces were perfect and for the most part the track was dry but i didn't see any body out there doing a damn thing about it besides myself and 1 other kid that grabbed a shovel to help fix the ruts after practice. Before Tony showed up...Dave-O says its our series and it is what we make it. If you want it to be different then pitch in and help and if you don't know what to do... ask. I'm not trying to continue the take over of this thread i'm trying to help Matt Francis put an end to it....

People need to sack up and stop complaining. Sound like abunch of bitchy liberlals. What makes NewEnglanders great is that we can adapt to any condition and kick ass. Best surfer in the world, EAST COAST, worst waves in the world EAST COAST. If you surf you know what I im talking about. Quit your bitchin and man up! Learn how to race in any condition so you can kick ass in all conditions. LOL Its like going skiing and complaining that the trails are icy. Oh no I want a refund. Come on!!!

seriously though, it's funny how a little sarcastic comment i made started a full on s#!$ storm of bitching and what not. now while i firmly believe that the track WAS in fact perfect; the jumps weren't too big, my 88 handled it just fine...and the ruts, well just pick one that won't grab your peg, that's mx101! my main point really being that the track crew did a hell of a job getting the track as mint as it was for us tards riding kids bikes, and if you can't have fun with this and appreciate the fact that the track was excellent FOR ALL BIKE SIZES (which let's face it is a damn hard thing to accomplish) then you need to reevaluate the fact that you're riding a 5 year old's bike. And you are right, Davo DOES want our feedback and it makes the series better, but keep in mind that your bike isn't the only one out there. ok i'm done.....who's going to the Stimilon MX Challenge?! or is Southwick too soft and rough of a track for you? haha j/k

This has gone on for way to long and I hate to contribute to half of this nonsense but I think I can provide some solid input on the track. Rocky Hill on a pitbike was the equivalency of a man's motocross track. It was rough you had to be smart at all times or it would bite you. IMO here's what went wrong. First of there wasn't much we could do about the rain before the race so we all had do deal. That being said, with the exception of the finish straight there was not a dusty spot on the track. The 10 mins of watering after the first motos was very unnecessary. Anyone who has ridden Rocky Hill before knows that when watered it turns into a skating rink which then can become dangerous in race situations. I mean just because the AMA over waters every national doesn't mean MoM should do the same hahaha. The only other problem I had with the track is the ruts that lined the track at the first whoop. I understand that everyone had to deal with it but I think that it really messed up a majority of riders who were doubling through the whoops sending them in every direction making it dangerous when more than one rider entered at a time. I had a blast at round 3 but I will be very happy if those 2 issues can be addressed and hopefully we can make a positive change. I know as far as I'm concerned I gave up racing big bike for pit bikes and I do not want to see this series go away. Therefore I'd really appreciate anyone who can be constructive instead of bitching about things. Dude! Come on! All I can say is go faster. If you really think that so many people are cheating then call them out on it. I mean seriously, it's pit bike racing, if you have the nerve to cheat I think you're taking it a little too seriously. And that's coming from someone who loves this series and does not want to see it go away. As far as a $10000 bike that's just nonsense. I have a x4 where I spent about $2000 for the bike and a replacement motor (I blew up everything last year at Rocky Hill in the mud). My bike is fast with a stock 160 and I can still compete every weekend with 180 kits and $10000 bbr bikes. |

Guys sorry for my bitchen all of you are right this is motocross conditions can suck at times, they just suck real bad on little bikes. I think maybe il go back to big bikes were its 90% rider and 10% bike not the other way around.
