Yep, even technology has it's issues. As many of you know we paid a lot of money to get have transponders for accurate scoring. Anyone who has raced MiniMoto, big bike races, or any other race that uses transponders will know that the transponder needs to be pointed on the outside of the designated leg. I guess the transponders had issues when one or some were either tucked in the pants or spun inside the leg. The neoprene straps a normally worn over boots, so over only socks and pants and leave some slack and permit spinning. We also had someone stall nere the finish line over the transponder and was moving back and forth which also screwed things up. Yah, it sucked, and sorry for you 88SS class guys who suffered. I guess the only way to look on the bright side of that is you got more seat time at no extra cost..lol. Anyway, thanks for putting up with that hiccup in the system. Other than that, it sounds like you guys really enjoyed it out there, which makes our day complete. We were stoked on the turnout as it made for good racing. I was only that we had less than half of the women that were out duringthe first round. C'mon ladies, I know your all tired and beat from Vegas (as many were), but you gotta represent and let the guys know you are racing just as hard. Consider that a challenge, and we will see you at Starwest! Thank Kyle and Pete for taking the pics. I know it was hot enough getting out, racing, and then trying to stay cool while being back on the track for the pics. Big props out to you guys! | |
