No I didnt. I pulled the carb again and went through it all. I have not done anything to the motor to justify messing around with that just yet.

This thing feels like its just running out of fuel or getting mid range spark break up.

Re: Got an issue

I am right at sea level and the weather never changes around here. Seventy degrees and sunny pretty much all year round.

I wished that I had another carb that I could slap on to try to rule this part out.

Anyone around here in the Bay Area want to loan me a known good carb or sell it to me.

Re: Got an issue

if it ran fine before and all of a sudden is starving for fuel how the hell can it be anything to do with the jetting? Unless you rode in florida one day then took it to alaska it is not your jetting

Jetting doesnt mysteriously change in 5 minutes unless your carb is dirty or your jets are clogged, I mean on these little bikes a spec of dust could hinder the carbs performance.

Could be your fuel tank petcock, id play around with that pull off that little hose and then put it to "ON" make sure gas is flowing out properly etc...again all it takes is a spec of dirt to clog or hinder these things since they are so small

or re-clean the carb out even if it looks mint clean like I said it could be just a spec of dust that cannot even be seen thats doing it.

a tan colour plug also tells you your jetting is fine, I wouldnt waste time moving needles up and down since unless it went from -20 to +40 overnight its not your jetting.

If none of this works it would really really help if you could take a video of the bike and how it sounds when at half throttle its chugging and cutting out or starving for fuel.

Hope this helps

Re: Got an issue

I am positive its not jetting. It sounds like you hit the rev limiter and wont take any more throttle.

Like its breaking up real bad. But will work at half throttle and idle just fine.

The carb is really clean inside and out and was not dirty to start with. If its the carb. The problem cannot be seen by the human eye. Unless someone knows something that I dont about these.

I have been through the carb three times. You can see daylight through the pin holes in the jets. Even pulled the needle and seat and sprayed carb cleaner through it as well.

Fuel petcock works just as per design. Drained the tank from there this morning to replace the fuel. Figureing that I may have gotten some bad stuff.
