Re: Look what I did today...

When you fully seize and engine like that, it puts a lot of stress on the crank, and it will never be as strong as it was BEFORE the engine failure. Sometimes they're weakened to only 30% of their original strength, but can look fine.

I wouldn't risk it.

Save that piston... and make a necklace outta it. lol

Re: Look what I did today...

I think I will just put it back together and TRY not to rev as much. Valve float is the only thing I can think of that would cause this.

Re: Look what I did today...

We'll get things rolling

See if you can check runout on the crank before reassembly, too.

Re: Look what I did today...

Well must have leaked out or ports got cloged cuz you were starving for oil and when that happened stuffmelted and when it did that's when the piston hit the valve and all he'll broke lose

Re: Look what I did today...

The same **** happened to me few days ago... I was waiting for new piston and jug for one month and then valve broke in first 10min of riding...

Anyway it didn't make such a mess in there but it pierced the piston and wrecked the head. Here are some pics:

@xlxrman: So your TB kit so longer for sale?
