Ya, you really don't need these huge blinged out race motors. Go with the 117, a decent carb kit, maybe a TB clutch and get your gearing dialed in. Thats what I find helps the most. Run a big rear sprocket and you should be good. A decent set of tires wouldn't hurt either

Like this?

Items I Want from Faster Minis

And then lighten the flywheel?

I just have a hard time spending 900 when I can get the used 117se put together with everything and tak clutch for 1000 shipped (minus carb thiough)

Just buy a used 117/124. What ever you can get a better deal on. I loved my 88/rh so id think a 108/irk would bark/haul ass! Than sell your old motor & put that back into the bike... Bling bling!

Re: What engine? 124se, 124+R, tb 117?

Plan B.....Get a 110 haha. There are soo many hop up parts that make noticeable power gains and are dirt cheap compared to 50s. The sky is the limit when it comes to 110s. But either way, go with what ever is more practical for your situation which is probably the 117SE like you said.

haha yah Ive thought of that too. Basically I dont want to go through parting my bike and then picking up a 110. But I would say if I could just trade my 50 for a 110 modded the same way Id do it, but thats not the case. And I like 50's

Just an old trusty 88cc ftp with clutch springs. Frame is reeg (non cradle their older version I think). Swinger is reeg also its a plus three with an elka on it. Got it from cory bride a month or two ago.

Lets see your 110. Because I have always kept this in the back of my mind. Because a grand in a 110 motor or chassis would be significant.
