| Re: 2UP Race #3 6/13 Sleepy Hollow yes, I'll have both of my personal bikes there....12/14 and 14/17. They are completely stock. You can try them if there's time during practice. Thanks, Mike

I too had a awesome time yesterday!!! Kudos to the 2up crew for getting us out of there before the storms hit. I thought the track was awesome, although I woulda liked to see some smaller jumps that the superstocks could do, but Eric Swarr said it was too wet there last week to make any major jump changes. He promised that next round there at sleepy we would prob have our own section of the track just for the pitters. Can't wait for the next round at rocket, see ya all there!!!

My Mood: | ![]() Enough can't be said about the 2UP crew. Without 2UP doin what they do, these races wouldn't be possible. They adjusted practice and Moto 2 races due to the lack of daylight, and got it done. Also big props to the Sleepy Hollow crew! The track was prepped for the 2UP race pretty friggen quick, considering the amount of track work that was done. TEverything ran quite smooth, and the 2UP crew kept the ball rolling all night. The track was pretty fun, with a mix of technical stuff, and high speed sections, along with some big bike ruts. LOL It made for quite a few good battles.

I attended this race as a spectator with my father. It was the first pit bike event I have ever attended and I have to say I was disappointed! The track was a big bike track and not designed for minis. When I got there and realized they were going to race the pit bikes on the main track I told my dad that it was "going to suck". It didn't completely suck, but this event could have been so much better with some changes to the track, or better yet, a separate track. I knew most people were going to single all of the jumps...BORING!!! But I was very surprised there were only a few guys clearing the table top. That thing is only about 35', correct? Some of the kids on the little Cobra and KTM 50s were getting more air than the guys on modified CRFs, KLXs, and Chinese bikes. I'm not knocking the real amateur guys, but if you're riding a sponsored BBR perimeter or Super Pro bike with top of the line suspension and you can't do that table top something is seriously wrong! But big props to the guys that were clearing the table top and the "brass balls" awards go to the two guys hitting that double. Is that thing about 60'? It was hard to tell from so far away on the bleachers. That Monkey with the DOHC sounded sick. I want the DOHC kit just for the sound now - haha! I was also very shocked at how unorganized Sleepy Hollow seemed. Some kid crashed during big bike practice and it took forever for him to get help! The one flagman looked like a completely useless stoner and when somebody gave him signals he had the "DURRR where do I go?" look on his face. If this was the first race at Sleepy Hollow I could understand, but this place has been at this game for a long time so there's no excuse! Anyway, I still had fun and I want to thank 2UP for putting on the event and the series! Hopefully Sleepy Hollow can give you guys a better venue for next time. I definitely want to try to make it to the next round. |

50\50,do you ride? The track was awsome!! Great job 2-up!! If you rode the track you would have seen how hard that tabletop was to hit.It is an uphill run to it and it is a BIG leap. The big double in the back claimed Davids bike,it was a tough track. If the races were put on at an easy track, people would say its too easy. The riders in the 2 up series are some of the best riders in the country, look at this years Vegas results. For the small amount of East coast riders that made the trip to Vegas they did a lot of Damage. One flagger who is a little slow does not make the whole crew at Sleepy Hollow bad. |

there really isn't a pit bike trac anymore.. The full mod bikes are getting crazy to where they can do most big bike jumps. The bottom two doubles would have been alot more doable if there wasn't a single coming out of the turn but hey thats life. The next round at Rocket will be on a pit bike track but still will have some jumps with some size. Like Vic said if all the jumps were doable by everybody then it wouldn't be fun. Not sure what you were expecting 50-50, a backyard track? by your avatar, I am guessing that you have a stocker 50 or an 88.. bring it out for the next race and bang bars with the guys in those classes and see were you stand. |

We had a great time there and I want to congratulate Kyle Davis #227 for putting in some great riding and going 1-1 in the 10" and 12" youth open classes on his Team G2moto R4 and R1 bikes. Kyle was doing all of the jumps and making it look easy even with an injured shoulder. I have some video of Kyle at the race that I'll post later this week. I think the 2up crew did a great job at running a smooth event. I think they did the absolute best possible job with hand they were delt, since there was a big bike event that same weekend. I'm looking forward to sponsoring the Race at Rocket! Mike

oh, and there were no factory BBR riders there... and big air to flat hurts.. you can do that when your young and weigh next to nothing on a ktm.. put a 180lb rider on a kids bike and thing tend to break... the top table was 2nd tapped, I couldn't make it with a 143 race head. you needed some high hp to make that jump
