Re: TTR50 Pitbike Conversion

I know everybody says get bigger bars. I personally like the feel of the stock bars, it is the right proportion to the bike. I think the most important thing would be a stiffer rear spring. The stock one will bottom out. If you have the money, then get the shocks. Then I would go with a pipe. Then take it from there. Some practical things would be heavy duty spokes, tire tubes, a chain guard, and such. As far as modding the engine goes, my opinion is that it is a 50, so I'm gonna keep it that way. It is tempting to go all out, but then I tell myself, I could have just bought a 110 if I wanted more. It will be a never ending cycle of wanting more from your bike. Plus. a 50 is quieter, lighter, and more compact, which is a good thing.
