| Attn: Import Owners and Vendors Over the last couple of months, the threads regarding the various brands of import bikes are getting completely out of hand and it's degrading the import forums to the point where they are slowly becoming non-productive for all parties. The PM moderation staff are absolutely sick and tired of constantly cleaning up, locking or removing threads were members can't seem to get along after threads turn ugly for one reason or another. We (Moderation Staff) clean up, lock or remove threads to keep the peace and keep the topics on an even keel here on PM. Nothing more, nothing less. We have members fighting with other members, vendors talking trash about other vendors, members talking trash about vendors. The majority of the time, there is so much misinformation in these theads it's laughable to the average person with average intelligence who have been around long enough to see through the misinformation. Members have the right to discuss all brands of import bikes as long as the information contained in the posts stay factual and are based on logic and isn't blatent spam. Members and vendors do not have the right to publically bash one another because they own, are sponsored by, or support a competing brand. There is a big difference between providing a counterpoint based upon fact and logic and brand-bashing. If you don't know the difference, it may be in your best interest to stay out of those threads. Example: Member A starts a post on Brand A and opens up a discussion of said bike. There is absolutely no reason for either supporters or vendors of Brand B to discuss their bikes in said thread unless there is misinformation presented about Brand B in the thread that needs to be cleared up. If the counterpoint (to clear up misinformation) is written based upon fact and logic, the moderation staff has no issues. What this means to all members and vendors of PM: The buck stops here, today. Before you post, think about the content before you post or you may be removed without recourse of coming back to the PM community. It will be up to the sole descretion of the moderation staff to determine the severity of the ban whether it be a short vacation to cool off or exile. When did Pitbikes go from being a fun hobby to a community filled with inflated egos and infighting? Keep it civil people and there will be no future issues. |
