My Mood: | takegawa 106 motor. street motor
I built this motor for my scooter. It has a takegawa 106 stroker crank, with a modified super head piston to work with a e22 head which has a G2 cam and is ported and polished by AHPminis. Lets just say this thing has ridiculous compression. Has a TB manual clutch and lighting coil. Piston and rings are new, but the cylinder could of used a hone before putting together. So smokes very little on start up. High volume oil pump. As noted this was built with extra parts laying around. Has a atc 70 4 speed tranny (all down i know lame), but this bike absolutely rips in my C70. 55mph + depending on the gearing. In a smaller bike spinning smaller tires id think you could get 65 out of it for sure. I am currently running a stock 110 carb on it but i know for sure a larger carb it would benefit from. Asking 550 and wont go any lower as i dont have to sell it. the crank alone is worth 250. 150 for the manual clutch, piston was 117 bucks and the brand new E22 head plus porting was 150. In addition the 4 speed tranny. Ill post up pictures of it if there is any interest. email me for pics at Fiveo440@yahoo.com |

how did you modify the piston to fit the head?

if i have it apart sometime soon and dont sell it ill take a picture of it. Since takegawa cranks are 50mm the piston already sits a little low in the cylinder. But the correct piston for the cranks pin height is different to compensate for the shorter rod which is the one i have. Because of this space isnt an issue. Surprisingly the valve angles are really close to a super head. So i just placed the head a little bit over the piston at TDC opened the valves marked where they touched and notched them ever so little and now the thing runs mint.
