| Want to buy and then sell my current Rebuilt Engine
I am looking for a complete xl70, cl70, ct70, s65, sl70 4 speed clutch motor with a good bottom end. I have a completely rebuilt with a 48mm piston (75cc) sl70 engine that runs awesome with a 20mm mikuni carb. I want to sell this completed engine for 450 with carb after I find another engine. See, I purchased a stroker kit and big bore, but instead of ripping this beautiful engine down, I figure I would just sell it off and do what I want to the new one. Anyone have an engine they are interested in selling off? |

Does this motor have points, or a CDI ignition?

| More information
This engine is a 6V Points engine. When I say completely rebuilt, I mean complete teardown, speced, worn parts replaced, New Piston, rings, gaskets, head was ported out in addition to a 3 angle valve job, new points and condenser. Engine runs absolutely fantastic, starts on half kick, clean, no leaks, no smoke. Has about 4 hours of easy riding on it. Shift pattern is 1 down, 3 up as original. One wire hookup to your xr50, xr70, ct70 or similiar. Has a lighting coil and advancing flywheel. Side cover is mirror-polished. This is an all honda engine...new piston is honda and cylinder is original...just bored to 48mm. Original valves were lapped. The only thing not honda are the gaskets...they are Vesrah which are as good or better. Carb jetting is awesome but could use two size smaller pilot ($2) for off the line. Mikuni VM20 130 main, 20 pilot (put a 15 pilot in there) |

I'd put the motor on ebay, as 99% of the people around these parts can't run or don't run a points motor on their 12V CRF's. The vintage folk are always looking for quality rebuilt motors. Sounds like a great deal for someone in need of a 6V points motor. |

| 4 speed clutch
This is a 4-speed clutch engine. Also, this will work on any xr50 if you wire it correctly. All you have to do is remove the CDI from your bike and place a wire directly from the coil to your kill switch and from the kill switch to to the black wire on the wiring pig coming out of the engine. It is that simple. If you want to run lights, get a 6v rectifier and hook that up to the other wires in the Pig and now you have voltage. |
