Well it was a blast for sure. Practice was a little muddy to say the least but they fixed it with the bobcat. They only have one class which they call the midsize class. Two guys were on 50s and the other seven of us on 110s. Couple were stock/mods and the rest built mods. The heat race not sure what I got but I think 5th or 6th almost got around a guy on the last lap but could do it. The main race I held it up since my shifter bolt stripped and could not shift so they waited for me to get it fixed. Got a better holeshot since I pulled the front end of the ground too much in the heat race. Last lap of the main race the two fast guys crashed and passed them and ended up third instead of 5th. Guys are fast for sure but I think if I would have got a better holeshot and get out front I would be able to hold them. Will be going out there for the last couple of races so if anyone is going let me know. Talked to some of the guys that were riding there. My bike number is 007. |

No the two 50s were fully built bikes one with a bbr alluminum frame and the other was a full out sano bike. Three 110s were mostly stock with some bolt ons and 143 kits with clutches. The rest of the 110s including mine were all tricked out including the track owner and his full out bbr 110 alluminum frame bike. I beat him and got thrid only cause him and another guy got tangle up other wise. My bike only has the tb 143 racehead kit with a vm 26 carb on it for motor. Not sure what others were running for motors but most had big bore kits for sure. Looking to get a bigger motor next year since getting out front on the holeshot and into the first corner is everything to get a good position. Thinking of getting the tb 165 with the v2 head or go full out and get a already done used 195+r motor from someone on here in the summer next year. My bike was almost too fast for the track and hard to hook up since they wet the track down and man handle so I could only imagine a bigger motor. I weigh only 140 lbs so I sure have a weight advantage on the other riders since they are all older guys and I am only 20. LOL |

Once in awhile my bike would stumble at high rpm once during each race but only when you tried to nail the gas right after a turn when you let off and pin it again but might be only cause the leftover gas from being pumped into the carb since in the corners to clear it out I just revved it really quick and then took off. Will only start doing it when you are riding really hard for a long period of time like the 3 to 5 lap races. Or it might be the ignition since i have a stock cdi box but should upgrade to a tokyo mods cdi box. I will also look into getting a bbr u flow setup since alot of dirt and mud started to block my airfilter on the holeshots so that might have been the problem too. |
