What year did the z50 get changed over to 12volt? the forum won't let me search for 12v as it is too commonly used. Thanks!

I believe that would have been in 1988, the microfiche diagram shows a CDI-type ignition with a pulse trigger.

Yes 1988 with the body style change as well
