Need help. Bike is getting spark & fuel. Popping noise when it almost starts. I'm thinking check the timing, valves & rings. Am I on the right track? What kind of service manuals to you guys use?

Either valve timing or points timing I reckon. Valve clearance should be around 0.05 to 0.06 from memory. Go on youtube ( Alexman ), he shows you how to do that, it is very easy. Pat |
