Thumbs up 1973 AK4 Unmolested original

Picked up this real nice US 1973 AK4. Original paint, few small chips on tank. Overall a nice bike that has been looked after and not had the crap pounded out of it. What do you think?

It seems to be a US spec frame, as there are no reflectors on the forks. Looks good.

Sold this 1974 AK5 which someone painted the wheels, tank, around the original tank decals and the tripple clamp an ugly maroon. The tank and motor were mint. The original color was blue.

Thanks, the seller had a hard time parting with it, I think I even saw a tear.
1973 original paint, that is why I sold the 1974.

Nice. I think the kick stand is worth replacing though. But then it couldn't be all original. If it was mine I'd have a hard time deciding.

Yea, I am going to have to do something with it.Probably look for a used one, someone welded a stop in a real strange spot.

That's a sweet bike, tmas. I've yet to find one in that condition. I always find the ones that haven't been maintained in the last 30 years. Nice find!

Nice Bike!! Excellent find! Worth keeping original. There only original once! That is my favorite gas tank decal on the 1974. Plain, simple, classic.

Very nice... some of you guys must have some big collections of old Honda's in the search for that never riden original,

I love seeing how good some of these old bikes are that you guys find and save from some young kid thrashing them.
