I just picked up a 1980 Z50r from a friend of mine . It needs a seat, ignition coil , fenders and front fork tubes . Anyone ? Does anyone know if a coil off of a 1970's CT70 will fit on this 50 ? How about front fork tubes off of a XR/CRF50 , will they fit ? Thanks, Raz |

Sorry, I'm no help on the parts you need...your questions, The coil...I'm not sure, I would guess...Yes. The tubes, yes, without a doubt and you'll be able to use the lower fork protectors like the newer bikes. |

The CRF/XR front fork tubes will bolt up to the Z50 frame, but, you cannot use the Z50 wheel, it is too wide. As far as the CRF springs, bushings, and lower fork legs, as Leget said, yes, you can install them on the Z50 fork tubes. The coil from a CT70 will work just fine, it might even bolt right up under the seat where the coil is mounted, you just need to make sure the plug wire is long enough. |
