z50 K1 or K2 are worth a little more but not by much.

I think you're setting yourself up for a disappointment approaching it from the "worth something" angle. Watch your local Craigslist and Ebay; you might see what people think is worth something in your area. But if your interest really includes messing around, as in off-road riding, get something that appeals to you for you and don't worry about it as an investment. | |

I would say hard tail Z50's are worth the most restored, especially the Z50M which is super rare. Everything else is worth a good amount less with stock parts. Most people prefer a good restomod bike that is done with all oem honda and quality aftermarket parts. Air cooled CR 125/250 Elsinore bikes go for good money considering the amount of guys racing vintage classes these days. All of the old CL/SL/XL bikes are pretty badas and make awesome restomods because of their rarity. The Z50, CT70, ST90 bikes are what most of us build because they are what we could find. It really depends what you are using the bike for and how much you want to spend on it. Don't start building a bike expecting it to be worth more than you have invested in it. Even the most basic restorations cost money to do them right. |
