I suggest you buy an aftermarket exhaust...

... and sell me your stock one!

Stuff a gpx in it?! Then it would be a GPX-Z

dOn
I had to repair the exhaust on this 91 bike. It had a small hole at the bottom which was hard to patch but I did it. For now it is ok. There is a carbon clean out bolt at the bottom that should be removed every once in a while. Couldn't get mine out. Make sure if you get a used exhaust it is in good condition.

If I go to a Honda NICE motor in the ZB then put the GPX in the Z50R.

First off get your self a minigunz exhuast.

Because you have a 12 volt z50 i say you install a TB 108 or 117kit with a 4 speed manual, oil cooler, and a lighting coil for a custom light setup.

There is nothing wrong with you honda motor, mod the heck out of it. It will be alot more fun then just droping in a full motor.

after you mod your motor, then look into aftermarket front ends, disk brake setups, and rear swingarms.

how much are you looking to dump into it?

Love that Honda motor. some good ideas Brad. where can you get a Honda stator for these motors? I'd spend at least $1000 & up on the motor alone and go from there.

I order Honda Monkey stators from overseas. I think a 1991-1994 CT70 stator will work as well. Just let me know if you have a Mitsuba or Hitachi flywheel and I'll tell you what route to go.

If you want to keep the price reasable, I'd go with a Daytona swinger, 285mm shocks, and extended front fork legs.

You can put a Baja desigs stator in that for about $75. It will work as good as a Genuine Honda stator for lights maybe better. That or rewire your stock one. I agree on NOT putting a GPX in it. Brad gave you the right formula on the motor and Dan's pointing you in the right direction for suspension. BTW that thing is clean!! Very nice.

Dan, Brad, FastMC thanks for the info and the bike has been well looked after. My 99 is even cleaner.

I'm pretty sure that Two Bros pipe was discontinued. Too bad it looked like a decent pipe.

I got mine off Ebay for $120. I know two bros sells one but it may be for the 70's bikes.

10" CRF50 wheels. You could go with some CT70 wheels or ZB50 wheels if you wanted to stick with the wide tires. I'm piecing together a 99. Probably gonna go with XR70 forks, maybe a Fast50s swinger and ZB50 wheels.
