It's really too bad that Honda won't bring the Monkey here to the states in street legal form.

My guess is less then 100 people would pony up $3500 to purchase one of these new from a dealer. And that would be right around the price point. Keep in mind the 2004 NSR50R sold terrible, the NSF100F hardly sold, the 2004 Dream 50R sold terrible. The 1988 ZB50 was a failure and dealers couldn't give them away, as was the 1991-1994 CT70's. Even in Japan, it's a cult item and the dealers have a very hard time moving them and are kept around for heritage and not sales. | |

Yeah, I know the reasons why it won't happen -- that doesn't change the fact that it would be nice. Having a new Monkeybike available, factory available parts, etc etc.

I think they would sell decent if it was around the $2k range especially with the scooter crazy recently. Oh well, we can only dream...

Pool to guess the first US eBay appearance? Sure would be nice to see a legit HONDA on the streets.

The english have the SVA test to get them licensed. (And the english slap licenses on the weirdest things, like motorized couches etc.) |
