Lightbulb 4 bolt front hub

I recently purchased a 1982 Z50R that came with 2 different year wheels & hubs. The front was a "4 oval holes" rim with a 3 bolt hub attached. The rear was a "4 round holes" rim with a 4 bolt configuration with the hub.

I was unable to find the original rims for the '82 (the ones with oval holes), so I settled on ordering the only "stock" rims available (the ones with 4 round holes).

The probelm is that the new "stock" rims I ordered will not work with the 3 bolt configuaration front hub I have. I have looked all over for a 4 hole front hub and have had limited luck. Any ideas?

I don't want to drill new holes in the new rims for the old hubs, but I am getting desprate. This is the last thing I need to do before I can start riding it!

Any help is appreciated.

Re: 4 bolt front hub

The four-bolt older hubs have bigger brakes, and are a bit bigger than the three-bolt hubs, that's the way they all are. They were all made the same, that's the way you're going to find them.

yeah they are bulkier which means they are stronger and since they have bigger brakes they also have more stopping power.

Re: 4 bolt front hub

I think I have two spare front hubs. Not 100% sure though.
