| 56 -57 bore location?
Are the sleeves on 56 - 57 mm cylinders located closer to the lower studs than in original cylinders. Of course closer to every stud, but is the bore centerline moved?

| Re: 56 -57 bore location? Gasket area / reliabilyty?
Not many people run 56 or 57 mm bore cylinder in their Hondas. But any experience about reliability on those machines? Fatcaaat used 57 mm cylinder, some problems with oil leaks and headgasket (OK, it last 1500 miles, not very bad). Anyone else? I did some measurements with original 39mm cylinder. If the bore size is increased to 56mm in that location, there will be about 0,5mm gasket surface between bore and top head bolt holes. So obviously bore is relocated a little bit? |

My 137cc Honda NICE motor is currently running a 56mm bore with a pretty thick sleeve. I was told it was offset, however im not sure in what direction. TJR did the bore work on the cases. Ill let you know what i find out next time its apart. I plan to re-bore to 57 and install the 62mm crank when it arrives from Germany. |

I'm moving my bore center 2mm towards the exhaust side in a scuffed 49cc marked 52mm jug, during it's re-sleeve. Tak 106 rod on a Kitaco 54mm crank. Just a little 56x54 132.9cc "fiddy"...
