My Mood: | 6v Stroker crank?
I was browsing through CMSNL.com's mini parts and came across some of thier tuning products. I found that they have a couple of crankshafts. I was wondering if they are stroker cranks, and if they are a direct bolt-on for the 6v motors (unlike the one dratv carries where a additional stator and flywheel need to be purchased) The cransk can be seen here:http://www.cmsnl.com/search.php?mode...72&partsPage=4 They are the last two on the page. One is for a 62.9 mm cylinder height, and one for a 63mm cylinder height. Which one would be suitable for a K3-78 motor? |

The dratv 6v cranks work fine with an xl70, sl70 or ct70H flywheel and stator plate setup. Don't know about the ones on CMSNL. Also, you don't know if you are getting long rod or a short rod. If you want to get one from dratv and need a flywheel and coil setup, I have one here I planned on putting on ebay. It will need new points and condensor, but the coils are fine. |

I believe the stock cylinder height for all the 50/70 6 or 12V engines is 63mm, and the stock stroke for any 50cc engine from '69 to '06 is 41.4mm. The two cranks you point out have a 52mm stroke, I'd think you could call them stroker cranks. As fatcaaat mentioned... Quote:
