My Mood: | 72-78 taller than 79-87
I saw an 83 Z50 the other day and I'd swear it's noticabley shorter than my 77, how can that be? They're pretty much the same frame, forks and rear suspension. Maybe it's the seat? Has anyone raised the seat of a 79-87?

you mean the low setting on the 72-78 is the same as the 79-87? or even the low setting is higher.

I'm pretty sure both ways are taller due to the loaf of bread, er, seat that comes on the Ks. I don't have a 79-87 so I can't say for sure. I would bet the farm on it though. I'm crazy son!

The K seat assembly is nearly twice as tall as the R seat assembly. The pan brackets are taller, and the seat foam is also taller. The K seat pan without foam or cover is the same height as a complete R seat. |
