72 update

just received my parts today.

cylinder and piston

camshaft

its kind of hard to see but this cam has tons of duration!

crankshaft

20mm carb

I've got a question thought, i was told the stock manifold would work with 20mm carb, it would just be more restricting, now that i look at it there is no way it would even bolt up, i guesse im going to have to buy a new manifold to work with this carb right? the only thing is, the manifold that is compatible costs more than the carb costs, does anyone have one that they could sell me cheap

Measure the bolt holes center-to-center on the intake manifold side of the carb, and post it up here. If it is the same as the TrailBikes Manifold Kit (click HERE), it's only $32.00 for everything you need. You will need to offset it, otherwise, the carb top will hit the frame. You will also need the heatstop, that carb is taller, and the bowl vent line will hit the cylinder.

The TrailBikes manifold measures 48mm center-to-center on the carb side.

So cool. I love the look of brand new shiny parts. Especially tight tolerance parts. I don't know why. But when it all fits together, it's so cool.

Where did you get your parts from? Is that a stroker crank or a standard one

I might be wrong, but it appears as though the stock piston was installed upside-down at one time, I'm pretty sure the arrow indicator should be pointing down, toward the exhaust port.

I see what you mean. You could be right. Or it could just be a mock up to show the size difference.

I was referring to the other photo, with the stock piston and cylinder still on the lower end. I believe the indicator on the piston dome should be pointing down, not up

Yeah. That's what I was looking at too. Just a chance it's sitting in there. But no way of really knowing from the pictures.

Here is a picture of an OEM Honda piston, you'll notice the smaller exhaust valve relief cut is to the bottom, and the intake relief cut is to the top. Note the direction of the arrow.

i just ordered the finishing touches for my motor and decided to throw in a folding shifter for my bike since my old shifter always decides to bend on me
i just realized, after looking over my order confirmation that it was only for ct70s k0-82, will it still work on my bike?
also i have one more question, the main jet on the 20mm carb is a #89, so i ordered a #90, will the #90 be good for an 88kit and a race cam?
