Is it possible?

I found this http://www.50ccracing.com/pics/Bikes/bikes%20782.jpg the forks aren't XR though.

On my 77 Z50, the forks ends are aprox. 6 1/2 inches apart. I think the XR50 is wider and the axle is different.

Just want to know if someone has done it.

you have to get fork clamps for a zb50 to use xr70 forks. thats what i have heard from someone that heard from someone else

but to your question, xr50 forks will not take an 8 inch wheel from a z. you can interchange the legs and internals from one to the other, but must keep the fork uppers with the wheel

Thx. I am learnin bit by bit. Better to leave 70's Zs closer to stock.

I am gonna fix my front. The forks are rockin back and forth inside the tubes. It's the nylon sliders I think...

Nope. CRF legs are closer together. And thats a CRF or XR70 and no original forks for either. But the rear Z wheel will bolt into the CRF swingarm.
