a friend of mine just gbought a CT70 and it is an 85 but all the sites I have looked on say they stopped importing them to North America in 1982. Were they just stopped for the US and not for Canada in 1982?

I am asking these for the friend that just got the 85 CT70 Are the 85 CT70s 6 volt or did they get upgraded to 12 volt? Will the front brake activate the brake light? What would cause the brake light to dim when rear brake is activated? What exactly does a rectifier do? What would cause the signals lights to be very dim? I suggested checking the fuses and the bulbs and get a new battery as he is positive the battery is dead. |

The CT70 went 12 volt from 1991 to 1993. All other years are 6 volt points and condenser. The front brake lever should activate the brake lights, It probably has the switch built into the perch. Look for wires that go into the perch. A rectifier converts alternating current to direct current. If you put a new battery in it will fix your dim signals and probably make them flash quicker. Get a new battery or try charging the existing one. tmas | |
